John Henry "J. H." Parker (son of Parker, Pleasant )
Parker, John Henry He served in Company G, 62nd Regiment of North Carolina. John Henry was a farmer in Jackson County prior
to enlisting for the war at age 19, on July 11, 1862. He evaded capture at Cumberland Gap, TN., on June 20, 1863.
Civil War Muster Record: Parker, J. H. John Henry Parker is recorded in Ezekiel A. Brown's
diary of the 62nd North Carolina Infantry Regiment, and listed in Official Civil War Pension Records filed
by his widow, Artemesia Elvira Wood. Also, he is listed in several Official Civil War Documents.
